- We have not met, but I was a devoted listener of WTGN when John became ill and left. And thru the years I have heard the stories of Jenny. We lost a newborn daughter 33 1/2 years ago and I was active in 2 support groups for several years. I think that is when I first heard about Jenny at The Compassionate Friends. You have beautiful friends, a beautiful website, special memories of a beautiful daughter. Always remember tears are therapeutic -- I'm sure there were a few today. May the Lord continue to comfort you.

- I never has the opportunity to meet Jenny but I was friends with Nikki throughout elementary school. I just remember hearing wonderful stories about Jenny from Susan and Nikki when I would stay over or hang out at the Umphress household. There were pictures of Jenny in the house and tons of angel decorations in remembrance of Jenny. She was a beautiful woman and it's unfortunate what happened to such a beautiful, sweet, loving, and gracious soul. She may not be here in the physical but she will always be present in our hearts. Even though I was just a little girl when I first learned of Jenny's illness, it has always made an impression on me even to this day. Thank you for sharing this beautiful website with everyone. My thoughts and prayers are forever with the Umphress family. God bless you all and until we all meet Jenny, she is singing and dancing, worshipping our Father in heaven. Much love and angel hugs!
